Wet Weather Camping

"Camping in the rain is just about the best thing ever." Or, at least that is what we kept trying to tell ourselves as the deluge threatened to float our 15 man coliseum size tent down into the Skagit River. It really wasn't that bad though. The boys had a great time and Alex caught his first fish. it is hard to tell who is more excited, Alex or his proud Dad.

Jared tried really hard to learn the difference between a tIpee and a tEEpee as he began the path of all young boys in exploring the fascinating world of fire, FIRE FIRE!!!

Tyler had a great time collecting light sabers and hunting for chickmunks (translated as chipmunks for anyone over 3.5feet tall). As there was an abundant supply of both in the forest he got along just fine.

Hip Hip Hooray!!! I was so excited to get your invite! I promise to be a good reader and I'll even leave comments! :) I love the name of your blog and your subtitle. Really, really clever.

And lastly, this camping trip cracked me up with your coliseum tent. My Eric learned about fire at the Father and Sons' campout in June. He came home telling me about the game "Burn baby burn!" Nice.
