First grade has been a really struggle for Alex. He has been very nervous and a little overwhelmed. And when it came time for the spelling test he decided it was about time be done with this school thing. So as an incentive, well O.K. it was a down right bribe I told him I would help him study and if he got all 10 words right we would go out for ice cream!

bribery always works ha! looks yummy! I remember Aaron's first day of first grade at Hilcrest, he cried because it was so long (here in Bellingham, they only go to 2:30, which is much nicer for those little guys). Great job Alex and mom!
