"UN" Fun

It has been declared by a 7 year old that I am "un"fun. Now I know these are comments from my more than grumpy child. But I would love to hear what all you FUN moms do. What makes your homes fun? I think I need some new ideas.

Let's see...fun...we do lots of homework, chores, all sorts of fun chores, like emptying the dishwasher, filling it, picking up the living room, folding laundry, drive around picking up kids, loads of fun stuff!
Seriously, a way to a little man's heart is still through the tummy right? So perhaps he would like to bake some cookies with you, or decorate a haunted gingerbread house for Halloween?
I have no clue really...i need some suggestions myself!

O.K., this is hilarious, truly!! Just last week Eric told me, "I like Daddy more...because he plays with me, but I love you more." :)Note here: I like the games, etc. I play with the boys. ;) But, I don't know if I'll ever be able to compete with Greg on the "fun" level. If this dear son is referring to other moms he may know, these moms are only giving the illusion of fun because the reason there are friends along is because it is a special event! And I know you Linda! You are a fun person!! Bottom line: you are talking to the wrong lady for advice (see comments by son above).

Um send them to DAD. I am the NOT fun parent. Dad is spontaneous....I have to plan to be fun. I guess just do what they like to do. Be the first to grab the lightsaber during down time. Build a way cool train track while they sleep and in the morning its ready to go. I don't do any of these things, but I may if I decide to be fun!

I just came here to see what other people's suggestions were! I never feel like a fun Mom. It gets wearing to be whined at whenever I ask someone to do something. I guess the only time I feel FUN is when I do something the kids don't expect. Like singing really loudly, or putting chocolate syrup in their sandwich (yes I did that once), or taking them to the park or somewhere else fun for no reason. When you don't do crazy things very often, they seem pretty cool when you DO do them!
I can't imagine that you aren't a fun Mom. You just have boys, who are constantly on the go. That's a tough crowd! :) They just don't appreciate what they've got!
