35 before 36

OK. So my birthday has come and gone. And I have to say this one was a hard one for me. Don't really know why, it just was. I have always felt young and full of life. But as of late not so much maybe it is because of this..........I just cant keep up. But she sure is cute!

Oh well I am done with that. I am over it. I am going to be full of life. How does that sound. I am mean really I had a fabulous birthday. Eric took me (and the family) to one of my most favorite places Leavenworth, WA, not Kansas, I'm not really that into prisons. We go to Leavenworth every couple years around this time of year is search of the beautiful fall colors and the still warm sunshine.

We always keep busy..

Rock Climbing

Tennis(which was hilarious because none of us really know how to play)

strolling about town...

the fish hatchery...very important to do something educational when you have pulled the kids out of school

Trudging on the trails

Miniature Golf

Picnic in the woods
The boys all went swimming too. I missed a picture of that. They were all crazy though. It was like 55 degrees outside.

All in all great adventures are always had by the Johnston's.

But anyways with my new pursuit of living, laughing and loving life I have complied a list of 35 things to accomplish before 36.

1. BEGIN AND FINSIH A QUILT
2. CROCHET A SMALL SOMETHING
3. DECORATE ELIZABETH'S ROOM
4. RUN WATERFRONT TRAIL
5. START SWIMMING AGAIN
6. READ THE "BOM" TWICE
7. MAKE A PILLOW
8. TAKE A ZUMBA CLASS
9. FINISH A YEAR SCRAPBOOK FOR EACH BOY
10. SEND 5 SURPRISE GIFTS
11. WEEKEND AWAY WITH ERIC
12. FAMILY CAMPOUT
13. MAKE A RAINBOW CAKE
14. START CRAFT DAYS WITH KIDDOS
15. GET BACK TO PRE-PREG WEIGHT
16. PEDICURE
17. GIRLS ONLY WEEKEND
18. GO TO A FLEA MARKET
19. GO DANCING
20. PLANT ZINNIAS, CONE-FLOWERS, PEONY AND LILAC
21. BUY A NEW PURSE
22. MAKE CHRISTMAS SOCKS
23. SLEEP TIL 10:30
24. CAN PEACHES
25. WATCH A SUNSET
26. MAKE TIME AND SEASON SIGN
27. KIDS SILHOUETTES
28. FINISH BLUE BATHROOM
29. FONDUE PARTY
30. LEARN TO TAKE BETTER PICTURES
31. READ 12 NEW BOOKS
32. WEEKLY DATE NIGHTS
33. DAY DATE WITH EACH KID
34. MEETS FRIENDS FOR HOT CHOCOLATE
35. LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE :)

Doesn't it sound fun! It is going to be a great year. Besides a magazine article I read say 30's are the new 20's so it must be true!

***as a side note it is really hard to do a numbered list when your computer doesn't have a #2 key. That is a lot of copying and pasting!

we're still young? aren't we??? I think we are!! I liked your reading your list and think I should try and do a few of those things before I turn the big 36 - only a few more months for me. Hope all is well. Your little Elizabeth is darling!

I love that idea Linda! I will have to take a page from your book. Only mine will be 38 before 39 (I Know...sad right?) I will happily join you on any adventure that does not involve dating!

Sigh, my list would be way too long at my advanced age. I guess I better not write one.
