I did it last night!
He didn't clear the Table!
The dishwasher is still full!
These comment are a thing of the past. Because I changed the way we are doing things around here. And it works!
No more piles of dirty dishes!
We use to have jobs. It was someones turn to clear, another to empty and yet another to wash the dishes. With mom "supervising" translation= mom doing everything. Well mom was getting fed up with that plan. Someone was always waiting for the person ahead of them to do their job. So being the amazing mom that I am I changed it. Much grumbling followed. But now I think every one if happier. The new plan. You only have to empty! OK so there is more. Every one has their designated day to empty the dishwasher. Everyone washed their own dishes and puts them in the dishwasher. At dinner it's your own plus 3 things from the table. The catch, if you haven't done your job and emptied the dishwasher you now have all the dishes to wash. And let me tell you know one wants to do all the dishes. They are checking the dishwasher to see when it's clean.I even came down Friday morning to Alex already doing his job. Isn't this just amazing. We haven't had a fight over dishes in over 2 weeks!! And even better I am not standing around all day doing dished all the time! See my beautiful chart! OK so its less than beautiful but it works!
Now I have this beautiful bright kitchen sink!!

Now I just need to figure out a plan for the rest of the house.

Wow!!! That sounds awesome!! What are they going to do when they get to school/mission and they have lazy roommmates/companions that don't care of their dishes? Your boys will find that an absolutely foreign idea. They may just enlighten them on this excellent system. :)
I love it! I bet my kids could even do the loading, although I think Joy and I would be the only emptiers, I don't really want ALL the dishes broken!
