We have needed to go to the fire department for at least 4 months maybe more. It has been the one requirement that Alex's needed to complete his wolf badge for cub scouts. We missed the night his den went.
So, I finally loaded up the kiddos and went. And what a life altering experience it was. The nice fire fighter took us on a tour of all the fire truck, engines and ladder truck. Can we just say THRILLING!! We also got to go on a tour of the training building that they fill with hay then light on fire! In and out of mazes of doors up 3 flights of stairs and on to the roof. Awe the excitement is building! The boys must have asked a 100 questions at least. What patience those firemen have. And then just when we thought we could not take any more excitement the call came and we were able to witness first hand the engines leaving. WOW! Future career goals have been changed. No longer do we want to be a janitor, dentist and (construction) worker. No, no, no, we all want to be a firefighter!

janitor?!? :)
When Marcus graduated from preschool, he wanted to be a "guy that works at a car wash". He just told me that now he wants to be a graveyard digger or SWAT police.
Firefighters are AWESOME!!!
