this and that

Good week so far!
Elizabeth Gracie and I headed off island this week
we hit  Joanne's, Costco and Target!
the best stores
I just need a Barnes and Nobles, anyways

we stopped at Target first
got a hot chocolate because yes it was freezing (i know it's nearly June)
hit the clearance racks and got some amazing deals
and that never happens to me.
PJ's for HRH $2, coat for $9, even the summer stuff was marked down.
Weird! But I loving it!

then we went in search of fabric for miss Gracie's quilt
I am so excited to try this!
I've only made small ones before this is a full size
but it's really kind of a cheater "patchwork" quilt but still I'm impressed with myself
I love fabric stores!
which really is funny seeing how I don't like to sew
although I'm liking it more than I use to
but I love all the colors and textures of the fabric
I get so distracted I have a hard time picking what I want
TOO many choices!

next stop the source of all things
Costco
this was little miss preparation to enter the "cold" room

the best thing about Costco is the flowers.
I love them
I almost always buy myself a bouquet!
I figure I deserve it somehow!
Right?

OK remember last week I tried the new cookies without the butter
well I remade the recipe
this time WITH the butter
I was VERY disappointed
they were really no better
they looked better and were softer and easier to eat
no risk in breaking your teeth this time
but they just have a weird flavor
so sad because Brownie Bites sounded so promising!
they look good at least

so i know I've posted about this before
but i find it amazing
she LOVES to paint

everyday
we never even put the paints away anymore
its the first thing and the last thing she does everyday
I love the concentration on her face
I just love it

and what kind of a post would it be without flowers in my garden
my irises bloomed!

and my peony is thinking about it

remember last year disaster..... http://threeladsdestructioninc.blogspot.com/2011/06/i-didnt-mean-to.html

well this year they are at risk again
but hopefully not from my sword wielding child but from my geriatric dog!
Who for some unknown reason had taken to digging holes?
Why?
And why at the base of my Peony?
 better be careful George....

So thats it so far.
Big things this weekend :)
