we don't want to go.....?

We join the Johnston family on a typical summer afternoon

Mom says "Let's go to the beach!"

children in unison tears in  their eyes "We don't wanna go to the beach"

mother slightly taken back for a moment.... speechless

now fully crying kids continuing their plea "Do we have to go to the beach?"

Mom had regained her composure "Yes! now get in the car"

OK it really went like that.

Sound crazy right?

They didn't want to go.

They don't want to do anything.

I'm "MAKING" them do stuff

terrible mother

So I made them get in the car.

We stopped by the Safeway deli for lunch

and headed to the beach

*** Alert Spoiler*** these children are NOT having fun

 She didn't want to get here skirt wet.
Now there was no danger of her knee length skirt getting wet as she tipped toed thru the puddles
but there was not convincing her to keep her skirt down

They on the other hand wanted to know HOW wet they could get!

If you look close you can see Mt. Rainer
in person it was very clear but I didn't get a great photo

we join our program....
3 hours later
MOM "It's time to head home"
Children in unison tears in their eyes "we don't want to go home...."
