on our way home we made a slight detour through
Yellowstone
It was so beautiful
fall had already begun in the mountains
we didn't see many animals
but we still loved it
Alex wanted to go closer
but I wouldn't
I promised we'd see more
turns out that was the closest we got
Hot Springs
love the blue
Old Faithful!
no picture of Jared at Old Faithful
he wandered off and was missing for the entire time the geyser went off
in the crowd of 100's
awesome
I'm starting to get use to his getting lost
is that sad?
he saw it on his own from a totally different angle
then he wandered back and found us
no worries on his part
just mine and Eric's
did I mention I liked the blue ones!
we walked the path through the hot springs and made it back just in time to see Old Faithful a second time
Aren't we cute
the was the 2nd eruption
164 feet (the ranger's told us)
way more than average!!
on to the falls
my favorite
my junior photographer took over the camera
Mammoth
the elks were amazing and everywhere
we couldn't get very close
the rangers were keeping people back to keep both us and the animals safe
beautiful!
amazing!
fastest 1 day trip through Yellowstone
the kids want to go back next summer to go camping
I think that would be awesome!
