traditions

I think I'm the only one in my family who enjoys going and getting the tree

I was so excited Saturday morning to go!

I must have announced it 10 times

my wonderful husband humors me 

but I think he'd rather drive by a Christmas lot and grab a tree

or even buy one from a box :(

but I make everyone come with me
every year
its a tradition
we live in the Northwest 
you can't do this everywhere in the country
we need to take advantage of the blessings that surround us!
RIGHT!
so.... 
we go trudging through the woods, 
look at the forest of trees 
possibly finding 20 good trees (or more)
before deciding on the "perfect" one

Jared is a good sport and a great big brother

 Someone didn't want to walk

 She loves me!

these 2 spend the entire time fighting a WWII battle and playing hide and seek
they gave no opinion other than the tree wasn't tall enough

I think I'll keep my tradition of going a cutting down the tree as long as I can
It is something carried over from my own childhood
I always loved going with my dad and grandpa to go and get the tree
Hopefully someday my kids will look back with fond memories of the time spent together
maybe not today, but someday :)
