if they are to be believed...

we didn't have any fun over spring break
at least 2 said that over and over

I asked each of my kids to pick something they wanted to do over spring break
plan was jobs and work in the morning
fun in the afternoon!

day 1 we played with friends
and had a backyard campout (this was Eric suggestion)

no fun happening here

day 2 we went to the movie (Alex's pick but also it was an overdue part of Jared's birthday)
funny story...
after herding my children through the theater by way of the bathroom and concession stand
we listened to the attendant and went into theater #5
the before the movie theater previews
then the real previews started
after awhile I started thinking  the preview were not matching the style of the movie we were suppose to be seeing
and thinking our movie should have started about 30 minutes ago...
so I dug through my purse
in the dark
using my cell phone as a light
trying not to bother the other audience members
to find my ticket stub
reading THEATER #3
"quick boys get up!"

"What? NO!! we don't want to leave"

"we aren't leaving we are in the wrong movie"

So...
we missed the first 30 minutes of "OZ the great and powerful"
hope it wasn't important to the plot
lesson, never listen to the attendant!

Day 3
pizza buffet (Tyler's choice) and "rolling ball" (Elizabeth's choice)
the pizza was fun
when we came in the owner asked what the kids liked.
"cheese"
he made a 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese small pizza
which my kids devoured in 30 seconds flat
about 10 minutes later he brought a whole large cheese pizza straight to our table!
Nice!
after stuffing ourselves
we headed to rolling ball
or bowling for those of you not familiar with  3 year old vocab!

no fun here either

Day 4
normal stuff
scout hike/service project
pool party
baseball practice
relaxing

Day 5
I made Eric take a day off of work to spend with his loving family!
we had a few options
including driving east until their was no rain but we would have had to drive out of the state
so we settled on
ABSOLUTE AIR
a trampoline park

the hardest part was getting out of the foam

after 2pm you have to be over 6 years of age to go on the big trampolines
so Elizabeth hung out on the Wild Child area!

waiting for dodge ball
Dodge ball

fly!

see like I said no fun here!
So in the random moments we Eric and Jared prepped the house for painting
no painting happened
Rain
and in sad news because of high winds almost all the taping has blown away
New sweatshirt that has already been lost
I'm so sad I hope it shows up soon sweatshirt has been found I had a moment of clarity while trying to take a nap... we left it at the bowling alley
the things you find when you clean the toy closet

my camellia is blooming!!

spring growth!
continued work on the decor
we also enjoyed listening to and watching conference this past weekend!
its amazing how much you can do in a week!
we did a lot, but really I think there was more fighting, complaining and arguing from 2 of them than usual
I was really excited Monday morning when off to school they went
this "tween" thing is NOT going down as my favorite age

I got some good laughs during this with the "no fun" line. You guys had an amazing spring break!
