the journey begins

none of these pictures are fabulous but they are all I have of phase 1 of my trip

we started out for Utah

longest trip ever

just saying 

potty stops every 45 minutes

I'm not exaggerating

this was the quietest part of our trip and the longest consecutive driving because she fell asleep
I think I was able to drive 2 hours!!!

 At one point I had to make Laura switch places with one of my passengers
poor Laura
she was a good sport about sitting in the middle with 2 kids
while Jared sat in front and Alex sat alone in the back

Ah!
we finally made it after 2 days and nearly 24 hours of driving time 
14 hours day 1 and 10 more day 2
are you getting the idea I didn't like our drive
at one point it took us 3 hours to go 17 miles
Yikes!!
And yes there were potty stops during that time

OK enough complaining....

I was only in Utah for 3 days
we had a family BBQ
a trip to my favorite pizza place and my favorite Mexican

A request for Barnes and Nobles 
my kids think they only exsist in Utah bad mom 
stopped in at my favorite antique store

a sleepover with the cousins
bowling with the cousins 
then a movie

and lots of other activities not pictured
it was a whirl wind 3 days

but no rest for the weary
on to phase 2!

on our way to Vegas we stopped in St. George to visit my niece 
she works at a yogurt place so we stopped to get a yummy cool treat

it was over a 100*  which we are SO not use to
the boys loved the misters 

OK so this wasn't' my most beautiful post 
but you can get and idea
of how fast my trip thru Utah was
we had a great time but 3 days is not enough time

Las Vegas here we come!
