catch up on our busy life

Jared had his last X-country meet

I am really proud of him for being involved in a team sport this season

he didn't love it 

but he stuck with it!

he said he liked the people 

just not the running

I get that!

she may not have loved going to the meets!

We needed more pumpkins 
pumpkins are a need right?
our patch only yielded 1 tiny little thing
even with Elizabeth checking on it everyday

who wants to come with me?
ME!
Me!
"no!!!!" 
"I'm tired I don't want to leave the house"
"I'm too old to carve pumpkins"

so in the end
only Alex and Elizabeth were the only ones who wanted to come

It was a bit overcast and cold
we didn't stay as long as usual

We didn't go through the corn maze of get ice cream
I thought maybe we'd get a chance to go back this season

Alex sure helped
he took charge of the wheelbarrow

We may not have gone through the maze but we did hug giant marshmallows

We had to hug the marshmallows

why we had to hug the giant marshmallow

I don't know

but they did

Afterwards to warm up
we used my birthday gift from Alex 
and stopped by Starbucks for hot chocolate, carmel apple ciders and pastries!
oh yeah!

 there was much complaining from those who didn't come
"I didn't know you were going to get them a treat"
I didn't either it just turned out that way!
it was a great Saturday 

still more catch up to come
I really never thought it was possible to be this busy
somedays I wonder how it can keep going
I'm actually trying really hard to slow it all down
every time I clear my calendar something comes up for each of my kids and 
BOOM
we are busy again
Crazy!!
