remember Valentines day

So yeah I know Valentines day was nearly a month ago

so I'm late

but oh well 

we celebrated!

I made the most fabulous cookies 

really they were awesome

just looking at them makes me want some

but truth

as yummy as they are 

I hate making sugar cookies 

sad right

they take so much time

and time is not something I have a lot of these day

and its amazing that I like them at all since there is no chocolate involved!

but they were loved and much appreciated by the family

 and they made really cute gifts

we discovered this season that my family likes hugs better than kisses

where Grace loved making dozens of cards and hearts and homemade cookies
when I asked Tyler what he wanted to do?
"just give them a piece of candy"

 My other boys were much relieved to NOT have to give any valentines!
Eric and I actually went out for dinner on Valentines Day
I think we have only done that once before
this year we went with 3 other couples to one of our favorite restaurants 
the kiddos were given a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's and watched a couple movies
all were happy!
(we only got 7 phones calls while we were gone!)
