a glimpse at normal

we came home just in time to start school
lazy, crazy summer over
fall is here

we have 2 middle schoolers this year
a now a month into school we are settling in
Tyler is alone this year at elementary school
4th grade
random pictures of flowers because I think there should be!
soccer is back
but this year dad is not coaching
I'm sad
the boys are sad
many other parents and players are sad
but its best for Eric
the man is just too busy
maybe next season he will be able to!

Alex is a awesome midfielder
and this boy LOVES soccer
Tyler is #8
I'll get a better picture soon
he is a super defensive player!

in big news this fall we have a preschool
she has been begging for nearly a year
and I have held off

she had her very first hair cut
goodbye baby curls
we cut about 4 inches off
it looks so adorable
and there is still a slight wave to her hair

she is going to afternoon preschool
because I am a smart momma
and Miss Grace
IS NOT A MORNING PESON!!

She laid out her special outfit the night before
it's the one her daddy bought her

she wanted her hair curled for her first day!

all ready
stupid camera lens
she is still cute just fuzzy :(

and she is soooo excited!!!

school was awesome
it wore her out
early to bed
WOW!
Somewhere in here I made this wreath I already showed you

and just so you don't think I only take pictures of hydrangea
we have beautiful dahlias this fall too

in a little Jared news
he has been a busy scouter
here he is getting his awards fro Scout Encampment
Jared loved scout camp and did well
Jared also joined the cross country team this year
but I have no pictures of that yet

in other random thoughts I'm trying to redecorate
or in some rooms decorate for the first time
here is a very unusual view of my house

I'm standing on top of my fireplace
and my house is messy!!!

after the first week of school
I was tired
and Eric doesn't take fabulous pictures of me
but still trying to included myself on the blog
next I'm going to try and get pictures of Eric

looks like I'm not the only tired one
this was the view of Alex at stake conference!

looks like we are going full force again
but we love it
juggling 4 kids and a hubby that works incredible hard long hours is really difficult
I'm doing my best but I'm not sure I'm doing it right

I'm trying to find balance
wish me luck!

No more school!

My kids are so excited and we started off the summer vacation cleaning the house! Awesome!
But I wanted to share our bright and colorful teacher gifts this year. It combined to great things M&M and rainbows!
 SO Pretty!
Everyone know i love to sort! Especially into rainbows!
Green is for the inspiration you give me each day.
Blue is for your patience in showing me the way.
Orange is for your warmth and caring style.
Yellow is for the way you always make me smile
Red is for my life that you have touched this year.
You're a very special teacher just like this jar, that's clear!
You place knowledge in our children's hands and melt into their hearts and lives forever.
You're a Magnificent and Marvelous teacher.
Thank you for being my M&M

This idea was not original with me I had seen it before awhile ago and I have been waiting to use it!

OK so I forgot to take a picture of our final project but Mrs. Nickerson is holding it!

My family was very contented to eat the brown ones!
