Vancouver, WA

The last week of June Eric had a class in Vancouver. We decided I would tag along and we would pretend we were on vacation. We dropped the kids off and Aunt Amy's (She is amazing) and headed south. I don't have many pictures but we had a great time. We stayed at the Hilton in down town Vancouver. We got there late so that evening we just wandered around the downtown area. Eric attended class all day on Tuesday. For those of you thinking I might have been bored I wasn't. I slept in til 10:00. Can you believe it! I can't remember the last time I slept in that long. At noon I met Eric for lunch. That afternoon I spent wandering around this beautiful park across the street from the hotel.

I loved all the statues in the park.

I sat in a beautiful old rose garden and read a book in the sunshine!!!!

This old house had been turned into a small community theater that put on plays through out the year. It belonged to the Esther Short who was the original land owner who donated the land that is now the park.

After Eric was done with his classes for the day we walked down to the river for dinner. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack. Amazing! Huge buckets full of 3 different kinds of crab, shrimp and potatoes. It was beautiful sitting on the water. Then we walked over to the movie theater and watched Prince of Persia. We had a great vacation! It pretty much served as our anniversary trip. We just celebrated 15 years!
