The first snow day!
The things I love about snow. OK I have to admit I am not the hugest snow fan. But snow does have its perks! Everything is canceled. The world just seems to stop for a few moments and in this high paced life that's a good thing. The boys and I just hung out all day. Which was wonderful!
It took at least 25 minutes to get Elizabeth all into her get up and about 25 seconds for her to decided she didn't like being out in out 15 degree weather. I don't blame her. I was very happy to go back inside!
Alex and Tyler stayed outside for a couple of hours. But eventually the lure of hot chocolate brought them inside. Yummy!! Its super good when you melt a mint truffle into it!
We made Turkeys to get ready for the big day. The boys hung them up all over the house even from the chandelier.
Tyler and Alex played in their secret fort. No girls of course.
Alex and I played game after game after game. He won every time. My reign is over there is a new champion.
And if you are wondering where Jared is in all these pictures. Outside. He went out at 8:30 am stopped in around noon for a PB&J then headed right back out the door. I tell you that kid is made of some pretty study stuff. He came home about 5:30 pink checked and bummed that none of his friends could still play outside. And a little mad at us that we dared to have fun with out him.
We had a great day! And I think it may be the first of many snow days this winter.

Looks like so much fun. Can I come over to play too? Have a happy turkey day!
Oh! What cutie kids! And um...what are you the funnest Mom EVER? Games all day? Nice!
My kids like going out and getting all snowy and then standing at the door and yelling, "Mom! I need this and Mom I need that and Mom can you get me this!" Then they come in the house and leave all their hats, boot, gloves, everywhere. Fun times.
What a fantastic day. I loved reading about it. :)
And here I am thinking, "if there is another snow day, I will go stark raving MAD!"
