30 day challenge- all about me

The question of the day "Mom what are you doing? And why are you taking pictures of yourself?"

No I am not suddenly become self absorbed or trying to be a super model. I'm not even trying to be a photographer.
One of my goals this year was to learn to take better pictures. Eric bought me a fabulous new camera and I  am trying to learn how to use it. I have been reading up on photography in books and blogs. I know nothing so don't expect fabulous pictures all of the sudden or maybe ever.

Well anyways I found this 30 day challenge that I am going to try. But not necessarily in 30 days, but I am at least going to shoot it in their order.

The challenge says they must be new current photos, not ones you have in your files that you dig up. But a new picture to meet that days challenge.

Day #1--- A photo of yourself.
Have you ever tried to take a photo of yourself?  You end up with a very cheesy close up.

Not Good.

So with great effort I tried the first challenge today. I discovered several things.

1. I don't think i like pictures of myself.
2. It really is very hard to think outside the box when you are taking your own photo
3. I should have waited for a better hair day
4.  I really do have a lot of freckles!
5. Self timers are not as easy as they seem
6. turn flash off before taking a picture into the mirror

Well don't laugh too hard but I did the first challenge!
