I am really trying to understand photography.
I have read a stack of books.
They use a lot of BIG words that I really don't understand.
One of those
APERTURE
What kind of word is that?
Apparently its a hole!
I bet you all already knew that!
I'm not that smart.
This website finally made it make sense to me!!!
The assignment was to take any 2 objects, put them close together, focus on the right object, stay in one spot and keep changing the f stop!
The pictures are taken of random jars I have sitting around my house.
I love glass jars!
f/4
f/5.6
f/8
f/11
f/18
f/22
OK here it is the smaller number the blurry the back ground.
COOL!
Why can't they just say that?
OK really I was mostly understanding that before, its just that this made it seem so much simpler!
My messy house doesn't make the best background but OH well!
Happy day!

Thank you so much for explaining this! I see it every once in a while and ignore it because I don't know what it is. Cool demo with pictures. :)
