just a normal week

my problem is I bake too much

it's true!

especially when it rains

which around here can be a lot

but at least I can be one of those moms that has fresh baked cookies when their kids come home from school

Oh yeah bonus points for me

Ok that rarely happens

but they were excited!

I was surprised how many cookies I made without my helpers

the really must eat a lot of dough!

also this week i made bread to go with the soup we were having

it really still seemed like winter early in the week

I had to stop myself from making a cake

and I had to stop Alex from begging me to make brownies

oh the pressure!

moving on...

this crazy girl had a difficult week

poor thing

she wanted 2 ponies...

but then once she got them she didn't like them

2 seconds after this picture she ripped them out of her hair

Tyler had something new this week
and we are so proud
at the beginning of the school year Tyler was still struggling to read
no incentive seemed to work
but slowly he improved
a few months ago he signed up for the Island reading challenge
he was assigned a team and each team member was encouraged to read at least 1 of the assigned 3rd grade books
Tyler choose to read all 6 books
his team won their school division and moved on to represent their school to compete against all the other elementary schools on the island
Tyler's team place 3rd
but what we are most excited about is he now loves to read
and he has moved from the very bottom of his class to the top of the 3rd grade readers!!
Yeah Tyler!!

of course we had baseball this week

both Tyler and Jared played this week at the same time
luckily they played at the same place!!

so I was able to stand in between he field, 
letting Alex and Elizabeth play in a huge pile of dirt,
and watch both boys play at the same time
at one point they were both up to bat at the same time
I was able to here both hit the ball within seconds
it went ping..ping! 
pretty cool!

Also soccer
against the south end
which is always a tough game
we had only 9 players meaning no subs
so our boys played 2 
30 minute halves

 but they won!

we were so happy that our rain from earlier on in the week moved on
Sunshine!!
and mom it's so hot... 
it was nearly 70*!!
sprinkler time

 Love that they were all getting along for like 45 minutes!!!

the garden loved the weather this week
everything is huge

 Almost
