A time to keep: thing that are happening...

Just a few random things that happen in our week

(my favorite kinds of posts!)

This "tween" age is a bit tough and I thought I'd grab Jared for a surprise lunch date

with his 2 best girls!

that is me and Ms. Gracie! (more about the name change later)

We just ate sack lunches together than got blizzards from DQ!

I got a mini and could barely finish it

Jared got a small and wanted to "share" his sisters

I can't believe how much that boy can put away!

HRH Elizabeth Grace proclaimed a few weeks ago that her name is Gracie
So we have been trying adjust to her wishes
because she tells everyone we meet that her name is Gracie.
So we will see how long this lasts.

Jared had a busy week
a very busy week!
Baseball games, scouts, ending with a 10 mile hike with his troop
he came home fell asleep on the floor for 10 minutes
then was his usual busy self

I made the worst cookies I've ever made
It was so sad
I tossed them out!

I had never tried them before.
I keep thinking it seemed like a strange recipe
it called for no butter or oil
but I thought well... maybe they are healthy?
the picture looks great!
So I made them
They looked OK and my kids ate some and told me they were fabulous
So I took some to a friend

I came home tried one and spit it out!!!
Sent my friend a message saying DO NOT EAT!!!!

At least they were made in a pretty bowl!

I checked online turns out there was a misprint in the cookbook.

They were suppose to have 1/3 cup of butter

Everything is better with butter!

But I made up for my cookie mishap with super yummy chocolate chip cookies!

More soccer games...

I was going to spruce up my front porch
Yeah well I'm still working on it
I guess the one week deadline wasn't quite enough time for me
I'm still not done
