all in an afternoon!

here is one of those baseball games I mentioned  

3 happy boys!

not much of a game but they were at it for almost 2 hours

poor Alex 

his life is very hard

nothing ever works out for him

he never has any fun

at least that is what he thinks

 not even when eating an otter pop

so thankful when we have blue skies 
here is proof that they happen
I know my mom doubts so I want to show her that they occasionally happen

the kids came up with this great idea 
make a water slide
I tried to explain that they usually go into a pool
oh well...
just run the hose on top and make a big puddle at the bottom
that works too..sort of

sprinkler on the trampoline is a much better plan

they made me nervous I couldn't watch anymore
I know I jumped on my trampoline growing up with my adult size brothers and never worried about a thing
but my own kids terrify me when I watch them

So Elizabeth and I switched to safer play
and made sidewalk paint
its really awesome stuff

we had a good time

the paint is cool it goes on very light 

and them as it dries the color sets

my attempts for capture myself aren't going too well

 we had to have Jared come join us for awhile

Eric and I went out to dinner which only lasted about 50 minutes 
but that is what fine dining is like in Oak Harbor 
not enough time away 
and there is really nothing to do in town
and we don't feel comfortable leaving the Island when the kids are under there oldest brothers care
beside we'd told the kids they had an hour and half to clean the house the reward being to watch "Jack the Giant Slayer" (if you haven't seen it, don't worry, you haven't missed anything)
anyways we had some time to kill
so I made him drive the long way home 
past the ocean 
on our way back we passed this field

we counted 12 bald eagles sitting in the field 
with a few more sitting in the surrounding trees

all in all a great day!
we wore out at least one kid
who fell asleep in by bed

I tried to get a picture of the full moon/super moon

my picture doesn't do anything for it 

it really was amazing

I hope we have A LOT more nice summer days like this!
its days like this that make me love living on the island!

I've got to get started on some of my summer projects but I'm enjoying being lazy and playing with the kids
who wants to come paint my bedroom?
no.
that's ok I don't mind doing it just having a hard time getting started!
but it will be fun!
